Having a good stun shot in pool is a skill you need to master. It can make all the difference in winning or losing. There are a number of different types of shots, and each one has its own rules and techniques. You cannot simply hit the ball. You'll need to hit the ball hard. The greater the chances that it will be able to pocket, the more you hit it.
A stun shot can be defined as a shot that requires strong hits. This means that the cue ball must travel straight in in a pool game. This is often achieved by putting a jack up, or elevating the butt end of the cue.
A "break", or shot made at the final OB of a straight game of pool, is called a "break". There are many types of break shots. Some are used to get out of trouble, while others are designed to make it easier to score. One example of this is the golden pocket, also known as the golden break.
Another option is the breakout shot, also known as break-out. This type of shot is a good way to score a quick shot when the ball cluster is out of position. Your shot might be lucky enough to cause an opponent to lose his composure and get thrown off the table. Often, a good hit will result in an OB that is still on the table, making it harder to knock the ball off.

A "break" isn't the only way to win. There are many other ways to accomplish the same thing:
Grade A shot: This shot has a high chance of success. A good hit, for example, will strike an OB first. This is followed by a second hit, which can win the OB.
Fancy shot: This is a rare skill that takes a lot of practice and a prop or two. A "J" stroke is a shorter, more punchy stroke. The "J" stroke is not straight like a jab strike. It's curved in the same way as a pendulum. Similarly, a "jelly roll" is a roll of the cue ball that is especially beneficial for the shooter.
Fancy-looking: Another name for a fancy-looking shot is a "flight." Flight is a fancy shot that looks impressive but is not always the most accurate. A flight is normally a low percentage shot like a top/bottom spin and a flyer.
Stun shot - While it might not be as glamorous than other types of shots but it is still very important. It is a good idea having it handy. You could lose the match if you don't have it.

A stun shot can also be called the jelly roll or grade "B" shot. What is the most important of these?
A nip drawing is a good idea in the pool world because it prevents the CB jumping off the table. A nip strike is more complex because the follow-through is minimal.
