Table Shuffleboard Rules

If you're just starting table shuffleboard, it can be quite confusing. Before you play, you should familiarize yourself with the rules. There are many variations of shuffleboard. Each game has its own rules. Crazy Eight is an extra challenging version of shuffleboard. The unique scoring system awards points in different ways.

The first thing you should know about table shuffleboard is that each player only gets one chance to score in a round. The game is decided by the player who scores the most points, usually between 15 and 21. Those players can then choose to shoot a second round. The "hammer" shot is also available to a player. It is the last shot of a round.

In shuffleboard, the first goal is to get your puck closest to the table's end. You do this by moving the puck from the edge to center of the board. To do this you will have to drag it along the edge. When you're ready to shoot, it's important to stand behind your opponent and not directly in front of him or her.

Once your puck is landed, it's a good move to push it in the right place to score. Once your puck is in the correct spot, you have two options: to move it forwards or backwards. It is essential to always keep one foot on the ground, however, behind the table.

Each player has three scoring zones. Each zone awards different amounts of points to players. The first zone gives one point for every puck that lands in its zone. The second zone gives two points per puck and the third section has three. To score in the 3rd zone, the puck has to cross the line that divides the "2", "3" areas.

The last scoring area is situated next to the foul line, across the middle of the table. The foul line is not crossed and pucks are out of play. The puck must not touch the foul line.

Numbers are assigned to pucks. If their puck is not on the line, players can inspect it by standing up above it. To increase their chances of winning, they can push pucks into higher scoring positions.

Pucks are weighted and come in sets of eight. They measure 2.3125inches wide. A regulation-sized puck weighs 12 ounces. Recreational pucks can weigh 11 to 15 pounds. In general, smaller pucks should be used on games that are played on narrow surfaces. Larger pucks, however, are best for larger surfaces.

Knock Off is one of the most well-known versions of shuffleboard, and can be played by four players. Crazy Eight, which has a similar game play to the classics, is another popular version.
