US Open 9 Ball Championship

The US Open 9 Ball Championship is a highly coveted title in nine-ball pool. Every year, the tournament draws over 1,000 spectators. It is broadcast on ESPN Sports Channel. 64 players will share a total prize fund worth $148,000. An additional $500 fee will be required to enter the event.

Numerous notable names have been named champions at the US Open 9 Ball Championship. Earl Strickland was crowned the champion, along with Steve Mizerak and Mike Sigel. Efren Reyes ("The Magician") is the player who has been most successful at pocket-billiards. He has won one U.S. Open Championship as well as a World Championship.

Luther Lassiter died in 1988. He was a legendary road player and won six world 9 ball championships. He was an outstanding player who had a long professional career. However, Lassiter would still have won more if he had played in more nine ball tournaments.

He was also a World Teams Championship champion. The World Teams Championship was revived this year in Austria. Earl Strickland and Kurt DeKlerck have both won national titles in the past. The top names in the field have been outnumbered by Allen Hopkins, Efren "The Magician",Reyes and others over the past twenty years.

Reyes is an excellent player at both straight pool as well as one-pocket billiards. 1999 was his year of victory at the US Open and World 9-Ball Championship. He also holds two other major titles.


Buddy Hall is one of the most well-known 9 ball names. Hall has won back-to-back US Open titles. His talent was recognized and Hall has received praise from his fans. He was a dominating figure at 9-ball in Shreveport, Louisiana in the 1970s.

Tanvee, a nine-year old Indian girl from Hyderabad, began playing nine-ball seven years ago. He has been working out with Billiards Education Foundation coach Roy Pastor. He will be competing in the Predator World Junior 9 Ball Championship on Monday.

Many players have won more than one title in the US Open 9 and WPA 9 championships. Jouni Tahti, Fred Dinsmore and Aaron Aragon are some of the most prominent names. Earl Strickland, Kurt DeKlerck and Mike Sigel are some of the other notable players who have won numerous US Open and world titles.

The World Pool Championship is the biggest pool tournament in the globe. Guinness World Records has been running it since 1981. The tournament has become a global competition, attracting millions of spectators worldwide. Since 1999, the event has been broadcast by ESPN sports channel.
