The Top 10 Players in the World Snooker Rankings

The official ranking system used by professional snooker player is called the world snooker rankings. These rankings are used to determine who automatically qualifies for World Snooker Tour events. The World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association maintains rankings. They provide valuable statistics about the sport and give players an idea of their rank.

Judd Trump

Judd Trump is ranked in the top 10 worldwide snooker rankings. He is known for his spectacular breaks and his ability to dominate the sport. He has won 23 ranking title, including the global championship. He is still relatively young, at only 33 years old, and has the potential to stay at the top of the sport for at least another decade. Mark Selby

Mark Selby from England is one the most renowned players in the game. He is a former England Under-15 Champion and a recent World Snooker Championship Champ. He also has a strong background in pool. He won the 2006 WEPF eight ball pool championship. He also finished in the finals of the 2015 Chinese Pool World Championship. Selby is originally from Leicester in England. Malcolm Thorne was his coach, the brother of Willie Thorne.

Ronnie O'Sullivan

Ronnie O'Sullivan spent 280 weeks at top of world snooker rankings. After reaching semi-finals in the Tour Championship's Tour Championship, his most recent move made him ahead Mark Selby. The Scot was ranked world number one for the first time in May 2002. He has since won 31 ranking titles. Six World Championship titles and five UK Championships are some of his achievements.


Mark Williams

Mark Williams is currently the number 10 ranking snooker player in the world. In 1995, the Welshman made it into the elite by winning the Benson & Hedges Masters and the Welsh Open. He made a respotted in the final to win the title. He also won three ranking tournaments in 1998, becoming the fourth player to win three titles in a single season.

Graeme Dott

Graeme Dott was awarded two ranking titles. In 2010, he reached the final of China Open. Since then, however, his form was inconsistent. He has openly discussed his struggle with depression. The Australian has a low ranking in the world snooker rankings, but has a strong record at home.

Dotts's career

Graeme Dott, a professional snooker player since 1994 has steadily climbed up the ranks. He reached the top sixteen in 2001, where he remained until 2009. He reached quarter-finals in the Welsh Open 1996 and 1997. He was second in the 1999 Scottish Open, and third in the 2001 British Open. He was also second in the 2004 World Championship, and the 2005 Malta Cup. In 1999, he broke his first 147-level competitive break at the British Open.

Dott's ranking

Dott's position in the world snooker rankings fluctuated over time. He reached the top 16 six times. He was number 2 in the 2007/8 Season. Dott's ranking has dropped since then.

Mark Williams' ranking

The world snooker ranking of Mark Williams has steadily increased over the past few decades. He has won several tournaments including the Players Championship Grand Final in 2001. Ronnie O'Sullivan also lost the final. He has also topped the world rankings on several occasions. He was defeated by Anthony Hamilton in Beijing Open's final in 2001. This was his greatest ranking win.
