
The World Trick Shot Championship is a world championship of trick shot billiards. The first edition of the competition took place in 1991 on snooker table. Matchroom Sport was responsible for organizing the event. Players were judged based on technical merit and presentation style. In 2005, the competition was held at Celtic Manor.
In the 1970s, many professional billiards gamers began performing trick shots. These players were given prizes, such as the World Championship of Artistic Pool or the International Challenge Cup. Trick shot is a pool game that has been sanctioned by The World Pool-Billiard Assocation. Other than participating in tournaments as trick shot artists, they also teach other people the sport.
Mike Massey is a well-known trick shooter. He has been doing tricks since the 1970s. He has played many games alongside sports celebrities like Jason Gedricks and Paul Sorvino. Massey has also been a key figure in the sport as an instructor and a fund raiser. His performances at Wentworth's Waste Management Pheonix Open as well as the Volvo PGA At Wentworth has earned him a high level of visibility.

Mike Massey taught professional athletes such as Scott Baiin, Dean Cain, James Tolkan, and James Tolkan. He has won several professional international competitions, and has been a member of Team U.S.A., which won the trick shot world championship in 2002. The team also performed at HSBC Championships Abu Dhabi, and at Commercial Bank Qatar Masters.
Jim Sommer is another amazing trick shot artist. He has competed in many international Trick shot turning events. He has won the US Nationals Artistic Pool Championship.
The World Trick Shot Artists Association or WTSAA is an international association of trick-shot artists. Paul Gerni, a world champion in trick shot, organizes the association. The WTSAA's book includes 160 tricks. Some of these tricks include: the machine gun shot; the "kick", shot; and the quick fire shot. Other trick shots include the "pro" shot, the "extreme" cut shot, and the "prop" shot.
Tim "The Dragon", Chin (2022 US Nationals Artistic Pool Champion), won the prestigious title defeating Jason Lynch (The Michigan Kid) in the finals. Both Lynch and Chin have been ranked WPA World. However, Chin has the advantage of being a seasoned professional, while Lynch is still a student at Ohio State.

The Trick Shot Magic competition will take place October 9-10. Eight international stars will compete in this competition. They will compete for a prize of $40,000. Each player will get to choose between six and ten of the predetermined shots. After choosing their favorites, each player will be given three chances to complete the shot. All players who take a shot that is successful will be awarded a point.
For many years, the best trick shot artist in the world was Geoff McIlroy. Noel Hunt was the inspiration that led him to take up trick shots. He has fallen from ladders and met people that he never thought he would meet, but he has never given up on trying.
